12.12U.0   CGSA League Rules for 12U - Player Pitch

12.12U.1   The 12U league will play one hour and fifteen minutes or 7 innings, whichever comes first.  In case of a rainout, an official game will be three innings or one hour.

12.12U.2   Pitching distance will be 40 feet and bases 60 feet.

12.12U.3   A twelve inch (12”) fast pitch softball approved by the CGSA will be used.

12.12U.4   Runners can not advance until the ball has left the pitcher’s hand.

12.12U.5   All players will bat in the lineup. Continuous batting order will apply.

12.12U.6   The dropped third strike rule will be in effect.

12.12U.7   A six run rule per inning will apply.

12.12U.8   Free substitution for all players, except the pitcher.  Note:  The starting pitcher can return to the game as a pitcher only one time during the game.  A substitute pitcher may not return to the game as a pitcher.  The starting pitcher and the substitute pitcher may return to the game in any other position.  The pitcher returning may not be used as a delay tactic.
